Class Description: Prenatal yoga is a healthy way to care for your body, mind, and well-being during pregnancy. At the beginning of class, we take a few minutes to share a little about ourselves and the little one(s) growing inside us. We will then practice breathing and relaxation techniques and learn useful tools to stay focused and calm during labor and on into motherhood. By combining yoga postures with our breath, we will improve our mental and physical strength, flexibility, and balance.The yoga we do is appropriate for all stages of pregnancy. Connect deeply to yourself and your baby while making friends with other expecting mothers in a safe, open environment. These classes are ongoing, so come join anytime!
Class Description Baby + Me Yoga is a healthy and fun way to care for you and your baby's body, mind, and well-being. At the beginning of class, we'll connect our breath with our baby's breath. Then, with the use of gentle movements and songs, we will help our baby explore the space around them, before focusing on stretching and core work for you. Lastly, we will combine our yoga poses and breath work with our baby. Connect deeply to yourself and your baby while making friends with other mothers in a safe, open environment. These classes are ongoing, so bring your baby and come join anytime! Infants from 6 weeks to just before crawling are welcome!

Melissa first started practicing yoga in 2007 while in undergrad at the University of Florida, and fell in love with the way that yoga allowed her to silence her mind and reconnect with herself. After graduate school at the University of South Florida, Melissa moved to Chapel Hill, NC with her husband and started consistently practicing hot yoga. She quickly discovered how necessary her practice was in preserving her mental, emotional, and physical health. She wanted to help others experience the serenity she had found, and completed Carolina Yoga Company’s 200-hour YTT, along with their Whole Mama Yoga 85-hour Prenatal YTT. Melissa and her family have moved back to sunny Tampa, where Melissa continues to teach Prenatal and Baby + Me Yoga.
